Cautions: The leaves, bark, roots seeds and unripe berries contain cyanogenic glycosides that can cause upset stomach—nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea—in individuals who are sensitive to the plant or if the fruit is improperly prepared. These glycosides are neutralized by cooking or drying.
